I have never done anything more valuable in my life than travel.

When I was a little girl, I used to lay in my bright pink bedroom for hours, flicking through the pages of National Geographic, dreaming of the places I would go and the stories I would create. I would tab off all the destinations that were too irresistible to forget about and place those magazines back on my shelf, hoping that when I was older, those tabbed-off dreams might someday become a reality.

Slowly, I began to bring some of those pages to life. And as I grew into my travel journeys, I realized that those picture-perfect pages are rarely reality. The reality of travel is being abandoned by your ex-boyfriend in a Madrid park after a fight. It’s dancing until your feet might fall off in a Nashville club and still carrying your friends home. It’s laughing until your cheeks sting with the funniest stranger you never knew you’d know and crying at the most beautiful sunrise you’ve ever seen. It’s pain, loneliness, uninhibited joy, and freedom.

Travel is life in its purest form.

After travel, the second love of my life has always been a really, really good story. Chasing travel and story took me from my home country of Canada to California, where I received my master of screenwriting from Chapman University. Now, I’m marrying my two loves, travel and storytelling, together to produce and create unforgettable travel stories for young women on TikTok and Instagram.

Together, we can inspire the next generation of girls. Pink bedrooms and beyond.
